ISBS 2025

February 4-6, 2025 Kyoto, Japan

The first announcement Dec.25th, 2023

It has been decided that the 2nd conference of the International Society for Bhutan Studies (ISBS 2025 Kyoto) will be held from February 4th to 6th, 2025, in Kyoto, Japan, as an on-site event. We are also planning to host a public symposium on February 8th as a part of the conference.

The venue will be the International Seminar Hall in the Clock Tower, Kyoto University ( The meeting information (deadlines for registration, abstract submission, etc.) will be announced on this website in due course. Abstract submission will be opened in February 2024.

The ISBS 2025 committee is pleased to announce the start of registration for presentations.
Please use the link below to register your information and abstract (400 words in English).
Deadline for abstract submission is June 30th, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+9) (Japan time).
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the conference steering committee.
After the abstract is accepted, formal registration will be possible.
We are looking forward to your registration.
